Payments are made via credit card added to the secure online booking platform Jane (PIPEDA compliant).
Cancellation Policy
48 hours notice is required for all cancellations - 50% of the fee will be charged for any late cancellations if the session cannot be rescheduled (outside of illness/emergencies). Late cancellations prevent other clients from being seen who may be waitlisted. Please note that no-shows result in a full fee charge.
Insurance Coverage
Many extended health benefit plans (e.g. Blue Cross, Sunlife, ManuLife, Great West Life, etc.) will reimburse you for the services of a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) in British Columbia. Check your plan's details to see whether you're covered. If your plan covers you for counselling or psychotherapy services, you will pay your therapist for the cost of the session in full, and then submit your receipt to your extended health care provider for reimbursement.
Services can also be reimbursed nationally with some insurers as I am also a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC). This is likely to be the case in less regulated provinces, while those which are highly regulated (Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and PEI) may require therapists to be covered with their province-specific licensing bodies. If you are a resident of these provinces and would like insurance coverage, do confirm your coverage for an RCC/CCC or seek out therapists who are licensed to match your province.
